Three Ways to Write for Money
How would you like to have full-time career as a writer? While technically anyone can start writing and call themselves a writer, if you would like to writing to be your main source of income then you have to learn how to sell the words that you write.
Here are three ways to sell your writing.
1. Write Articles for Magazines
Magazines are traditionally one of the most popular types of market for freelance writers. Many magazines pay freelancers in the vicinity of $0.15 to $0.35 per word. Then there are best-selling magazines that pay one to two dollars per word. These tend to be publications with a high circulation such as women’s magazines, travel publications, and even in-flight magazines.
2. Write & Sell Ebooks
Many freelance writers are now writing and selling ebooks over the web. Ebooks take less time to write and publish than traditional books. And it is possible to manage the entire process yourself – you write an ebook then you publish it and start marketing and selling it.
The authors of ebooks typically receive 50% to 90% of the price for each copy sold – and that is considerably better than the small amount traditional book authors receive from each copy.
3. Blogging for Cash
Blogs are a great way for writers to make money . They are fairly straightforward to set up and having a professional design is easy thanks to plenty of ready-made blogging templates.
Some of the ways that you can monetize your blog include selling advertising, showing advertisements for Google AdSense or ads for affiliate products, and selling your own information products and e-books .
What we are seeing at the moment is some bloggers turning their blogs into books. After all, the blogs are overflowing with great content on a particular topic.
I have shown you three ways that you can start writing for money today. Now be proactive, start writing. You’ll quickly see your writing business grow.
